Clutches: Any advantage to OEM vs. ACT?
Ok, I know there are ~100 threads discussing ACT clutches (4th Gen), but I'm trying to figure out if there is ANY advantage to going with an OEM. I'm not planning on supercharging at any point, so that isn't a concern.
Is OEM cheaper?
Based on similar driving styles (almost no racing), will the OEM last longer than the ACT?
Will my resale (IF I decide to sell the Max at some point) be better with an OEM clutch?
Thanks for your thoughts!

1. Generally, depending on where you go to get the OEM clutch, it may be cheaper, that I do not know. I know that eBay sometimes has them going for a little over $100.00.
2. Any "regular" clutch will last just as long as any other clutch. The only factor that determines how long a clutch will last is "how you drive the car on a regular basis". That is really the only determinent on clutch life.
3. Resale should be the same.......if not better with the ACT.
Basically, if you are gonna have to replace your clutch, why not upgrade to one that will make your car drive more like a "4-door sports sedan". You can put an OEM one back in there, but the ACT is supposed to be multiple steps better than the OEM, granted that it may cost more....

Generally speaking, its 'easier' to drive with an OEM clutch. OEM clutch is a little more forgiving bc it has the ability to slip more than a more aggressive clutch like the ACT. I've heard tho that after a little time the ACT acts much like a stock clutch just grips better so im not the expert.

Get the ACT
and you won't be sorry!! I felt a huge difference when I changed mine but that was because my stock was shot but it was definetly worth the upgrade and the price is a lot cheaper than dealer oem clutches unless like mentioned before you could get one from ebay or something.
