I get this sound whenever my car has been parked and I start off--tssssss.......tssssss.......tssssss.......tssssss. ......tssssss.......tssssss.......tssssss.......ts sssss.......tssssss.......
and it's speed dependent. Eventually I think it goes away. I decided to experiment and instead of yanking the parking brake, I just left the car in gear when parked with no brake. I don't think I heard the noise next time. When the car was in the 40k mile range I believe the parking lever started to be a bit weird, as if the cable had stretched. Oh well, I'll just live with it.

I may have the same problem.... when my car has been parked on the hill and i get in, release the brake and start rolling, it groans a few times, does that on straight level roads too at low speeds. Maybe warped rotors????

My parking brake doesnt stick normally, but if i leave the car for a week or two with it on, and then get in - it stays fully engaged.. I usually realize when there is smoke pouring out of the wheel well haha, probably not so good on the rotors.. and i have to jam the parking brake up and down a bunch of times and throw it in reverse.
lesson learned: if parking the car more then a few days, dont use ebrake.

It is a known issue in the Service BBS for 4th gen Max, that the parking brake does get stuck and it would groan @ very low speed. Mine did that for a little bit and it all went away. Take it to a dealership, since it's a known issue, they should fix it for free.
I used to have a bookmark for that site with all the info, but I recently deleted it.

the parking brake is self adjusting,
have the car stopped, and pull up on the ebrake untill you hear 5-6 clicks. go slow. each click is good. release and repeat this step three times.
your parking brake advance should be now 'adjusted'
if you hear groaning, it might be the mechanism spring might be stuck. perhaps a relube is in need. check for debris.

I was going to suggest this... just check the sprins for blockage and see if they need to be lubed or replace.. you can see them from just behind the rear wheel on the inside
