Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix scratched up rims? i know you can chrome them but you would need to send them to cali for a month or so. can you wrap them with carbonfiber? that would look phat....

You can get your rims refinished to take out any scratches. It think it costs around $80 per rim depending on how bad they are. Check out shops in your area that do this. As for carbon fiber rims....sounds like an interesting idea....

BBS made the Moda M1 in a carbon-fiber finish, I don't know if they still do. It looked sweet on darker-colored cars.

My bad, it was the Moda M2 they made in carbon fiber. It looks just like the M1 with a lip around the rim. I'm looking for a pic now, no one seems to have one and I don't have a scanner. The only place I know you can see them is in an older car mag's Tire Rack ad.. that's how I found it. It's in the January 96 issue of R&T, so anything around then (C&D, Automobile, Motor Trend) would probably have the ad in it.

DIY, try fiberlay.com or fiberglast.com. Get some carbon and some epoxy, top it with a clearcoat and drive away.
