its not finished (no bov, no exhaust, no tuning, powdercoating,etc etc)

preface:
whole video is under 4000rpm, at almost no boost.
no exhaust (just downpipe) (exhaust is made tommorow, 3" mandrel all the way)
no blow off valve (goes on in the morning)
and no wastegate noise (because no boost)

but if there is no exhaust and no waste gate attached,

then it really isnt a turbo yet.

I do have exhaust coming to the turbo, and a downpipe out of the turbo... just not all the way to my back bumper.

and the wastegate is in the exhaust coming to the turbo, just no "wastegate noise" because the car was in neutral making almost no boost.... wastegate only makes its noise under full boost when its bleedin the exhaust.

so i am turbo

DAym... 6 weeks! I would cry. In fact I feel your pain because I my car has been in the shop for about 2 weeks and will be kept there for a while. Anywho, I was looking at your video...thing sounds like a beast without exhaust pipes huh? I was looking at you're turbo and it looked as if there were no oil lines feeding the turbo. I hope I just wasn't looking hard enough because that would be a bad thing if you ran it for for a while. Good luck!

for the love, it has a wastegate and it has boost.. just go rev a turboed car in neutral, they make almost no boost... and that is why there is no "wastegate noise" !

I misread your post. I thought you said, "no wastegate" instead of "no wastegate noise".

Well I am highly considering going out to CO to get Nigels kit.
This is closer, plus I would love to have the opportunity to work on and even just see a boosted max. I have never seen any kind of boosted max in person, let alone taken a ride. I would love to ride in a boosted max

It is his design, he deserves to make money off it for his hard work. I am really more conserned with having someone that knows what they are doing. Being closer than CO is a big bonus. I have seen his input and other projects and I really respect him.

I honestly probably won't have the money to do anything until spring unless I put in on a CC. I would just like to come down and see it. I would even sign a non-disclosure aggreement or whatever he wanted in order for me to participate.

You turbo guys are making me jealous! I can't wait until I'm ready for a kit, but hopefully by then any issues will be worked out.

 

someone has a 5th gen turboed already, more then one turboed 5th gen would be sweet, how ever wheres are 2k2 owners who are drooling to bolt one up to their mean machines. I know Spraying70 who owns a 2k2 altima wants to bolt one up to his car but dont know if under the hood spacing is identical to the 2k2 maximas.
