How you know you love your car

Guys, I've been without my maxima for 6 weeks now. It's been in the shop getting repainted. Lots of problems arose, etc, that's why it's been so long. I've never not had the max for this long and it's sick but i seriously miss the car. Yeah I know, it's just a car but for the last 6 weeks I've been driving a 91 buick lesabre. Trust me, all cars are not even close to the same and I can't wait until I get my car back (tommorrow).

One thing I've noticed with my max is that I never ever hate driving places. In fact I usually find a reason to go home the long way. With the buick, I HATE driving around. I hate stopping for gas. I hate traffic. I simply hate driving it. The other day I took a turn that I usually take in my maxima and this was the first time I took in the buick. Well, I guess I was too used to driving the max around the corner because I lost control with the buick and kissed a wall. I just miss my freakin car.

It's late, I'm tired, and I'm rambling. I just wanted to share with you guys how much not having your car sucks!! Seriously, it's true... you don't really realize what you have till its gone.

just dream of when she's in your arms again and that should tide you over. I went without mine for a month and a half during my tranny rebuild. You'll love your car even more when you get her back.

Nightmares

Have any of you all had recurring nightmares of having your Maxima stolen or crashed? I have these once every week at least.

I missed my Max the most last December/January. I drove 3000+ miles across Europe in a 2 litre diesel Citroen. There were such nice roads during the trip my passengers were getting sick and tired of hearing me say "I wish I had my Max!" every day many times a day.
When I got back and drove my Max I thought I was driving an M5 for a day or two.
Right now my car is in the shop getting fixed for a fender bender. I should get it back tomorrow. It's been a week and a half and I'm starting to get really frustrated. I've got this automatic Camry. Argh. In the morning, I have to spend a few more seconds looking for it in the parking lot because its look is so boring. I guess it's still better than a 91 LeSabre or a Saturn.

i used to do that in highschool... we had a paid parking lot across the street that you can see from one side of the school and the staircases, i would park there even if there was free parking on the street, and there was 1 spot right by the wall where it was seperate from all other cars.. I would put my old 3rd gen there

as for the love thing
i love it
but not that much...
i look over my shoulder 3-4 times when walking away from it...

jesus man its a vehicle, not the end of the world.... you need to get a life or something, yes it's a maxima, wow, but it still is just a family car... so just wait and be patient and stop crying over something that gets you from point A to point B.. my 2 cents..

Well, I was trying to put it nicely, and I probably could have phrased it better, but...I was implying, that who the heck wants to hear YOUR 2 cents, when they were all negative comments - "get a life or something" Yeah, nice post bud...

Yup, the label on the left says Newbie (to the org) not a newbie to the English language, chief...

I am not too keen on being called a newbie by a cocky 17 year old "Maxima Enthusiast" so I had to go the extra yard here...

Oh yeah, nice survey on your web page "Would my max look better lowered?" Well...Yes it would look better, especially if you had a fourth Gen...

Well, I was trying to put it nicely, and maybe I could have phrased it better, but I was implying that who the hell wants to hear YOUR 2 cents. You had all insulting and negative comments. Keep it to yourself. You said and I quote, "you need to get a life or something" great quote bud.

Of course it is gonna post twice after I let some steam loose...Some reason it posted twice. I sent it through and then got the "web page not responding", so i sent it again...
Maybe my self conscious wanted to stick it to him again..
But yeah, do think of a good comeback for my 2 posts back to back.

Jason - Yeah no doubt I have been keeping an eye on your mods through some posts, Those rims are definitly blazin...You did say you had some projects in mind but.....MOTM!!! Thats good stuff man...

Sorry I never got back to ya about the stillen kit, decided to dish out a couple extra hundred for some rims instead...
