FMU Valve???

A few days ago while measuring my FMU plate I removed the bottom four allen nuts. Then my 8:1 kit came in the mail and the intructions said to no remove those nuts as you'll have to replace the enitre valve.

At any rate, I put the 8:1 in and the car is still running reportedly rich. When I put the four botls back in I triple checked that everything was assembled right and there is no seal there that I could've broken.

By removing those nuts what could I have done, or is it they don't want you doing it because it's unnecessary and could increase the chances of screwing things up. If I broke something, what part is it I need to re-order being that I would have to undo those bolts to put the new piece on, thus there is obvioulsy no seal.

Anyone?

Yeah that's the instructions I got, but I accidentally removed those four screws before I got the instructions, but I don't understand how removing it could mess anything up because it's a very simplistic design underneath it. It has one small/thin plate and the four holes, there is no seal that could've been broken by removing it. If I order a new valve for replacement it would still have to be installed via those four allen nuts so again I don't understand how removing it and putting it on can mess anything up unless you lose that small plate in the process (which I can see happening).

No, you are being monitored through your IP.

We prefer people who have had issues in the past be upfront with everyone; as we've stated before, you weren't banned and you chose to leave.

Creating an alias doesn't garner any more respect or solidify the hope your stay will be long and prosperous. We would prefer you just be yourself and not hide behind another name the way some people think we as moderators hide behind a computer screen.

Roger..

This account was actually created by my friend who recently bought a maxima but I took it over to ask a few questions.

I have to say that last comment was the most professional comment I've heard anyone say on maxima.org, good job.
