However, having said that, I think the Gen 4 Maxima, modified in key areas, can bestow its driver with many gratifying motoring moments.

By the way, how do you like your Sprint springs?

Naah, my sig pretty much describes my opinion of the car, i.e., it is a means to an end. With that being my general enthusiasm for motorsports, but by no means is it locked into the Maxima exclusively.

The chassis transitions going from full lateral drift at high speed back to controlled and sudden braking were almost instantaneous too, which was more than I expected from my conventional spring/strut combo. I was very happy everytime the car snapped back from drift to full composure as I went from WOT to full-on braking...

As for the S-AFC, I've had mine on my car for 2.5 years now I think, and I think Cheston has had his S-AFC on his car for at least a year too.
I don't know what Cheston had his set at, but I had mine setup to run the motor rich by 7% for safety purposes, especially since I have the UPRD/G-Force ECU in there. I realized that running the motor rich would rob the car from a few HP, but I was willing to do it for the peace of mind.
Anyway, I think I need to revisit GForce again now that I have enough changes in the motor to warrant needing to revise the ECU programming, the first of which being a higher rev limiter.
We'll see what else can be done..

sounds like a good suspension setup... alot people are under the impression that sprint springs don't handle.. as far as i told them from my experiences is that they do.. and i like them..
no no.. not SAFC.. i was talking about Warpspeed Subframe Connectors.. Neal has them on his car and he loves them on the road course.. wondering if you guys had them or were going to get them..

I'm running on the Sprints/AGX combo. And the car handled superbly with the following items dialed in as follows, AGX set at 3/4 F/R, tires inflated at 37PSI F/R, Stillen RSB set at center/rear of the beam. These along with running my full interior including the spare tire and jack were exactly what I had hoped to achieve with the car, and that is a neutral stance, with a very slight tendency to oversteer at the limit. If I had wanted the car to be completely neutral in handling, I would have needed to adjust the rear tires pressure to about 34PSI, but the 37PSI was exactly what I needed for the track to rotate it during those tight corners and drift it at high speeds.

Yes, Dennis was driving his SE-L Auto in the same group I was in, however, we must have been on opposite sides of the track the whole time in all our run sessions, because I don't remember seeing him out there, unless he was with that one group of 6-7 cars during session 2 that I blew by the whole lot like a lunatic from "Grapevine" down the back straight towards "Riverside" during my all-out race war with that CRX.
As for the subframe brace, I didn't know about it. Is it Maxima specific or a general purpose brace? And how much does it weigh? And does it require welding or is it bolt-on? And of course, how much does it cost?
Anyway, I think the subframe brace would be a little low on my mod priority list right now, with the big brakes being probably the must-have ones on my list, followed by the UR UDP as a close second...
