Ok so i got the clear tails for Xmas on my 95 SE, how do i seperate the plastic clear lense from the black plastic piece so i can paint the bottom part red, PLEASE HELP its xmas eve.

i meant the actual clear lense itself not talkin bout the car at all , the clear part is connected to the main black peice how do i disconnect, there are little clips to get it out but i am afraid to break them. Whoever has a 95/96 who has painted them please help

 

a heat gun and a lot of patience is correct =)
you need to warm up the outer piece so it's bendable enough for those clips to slide out.
