Pretty good to me. Did you beat that SS? Seem like you pulled on it out of the hole, not sure how you did at the end though, camera didn't zoom in.

 

yes i beat him, look at whose times light up first i trapped higher too.

 

Very nice man, you'll have to let me know when you get that auto kit available. I dunno if i want to deal with pfi cause i doubt they will give me any break for being the test subject on an auto, plus if i get from you i save on tax too. let me know how it turns out and if you still don't have an auto kit in the spring id be glad to be the test subject, even if i have to drive down there.

Couple of questions though....It was hard to tell, but was that a LT1 SS. The headlights looked like the 94-97 type. Also, It should like it was an auto too. I couldnt hear it chirp 2nd and it shifted slowly like an auto.

 

from what i've seen at the track, automatics f-bodies and manual f-bodies run identical times....and yes it was the LT1.

Good run. You must of ****ed off quite a few American Muscle car owners. Today I had one of my coworkers jump in my car and said man you have a large windshield and plenty of space. more space then my Mustang. Faster then your mustang too

Haha, I'm getting a v6 auto camaro if they are that fast !!

and I did run 12psi on my first run of the night.. against a new-body vette w/ NOS.. i pulled on him.. UNTIL my clutch completely went out.. 15.0 @ 40mph i believe or something stupid like that in 3rd i was ahead by a little bit, and then i redlined it b/c of clutch.. yuck!!! that was my only attempt at 12psi, i cut back to 8.5 after that, and waited an hour - then lined up against the SS.

 

haha..this video was awesome. I told my friend with a 02 mustang gt to download it because I know it would make him mad because if it beat a Camaro Super Sport, it would beat him. He wouldn't download it, I am putting it on a cd along with a few other maxima videos and giving it to him.

haha, yeah I've got video of me beating new-body mustang gt's with no problem at all, new body mustang cobra's(non-s/c) and even a '03 cobra (yes, the s/c one.. but ONLY b/c of the launch, haha, he trapped 9 mph faster than I (on 4psi) )

no matter who i can beat stock, I still do not deny the ability to make a camaroSS or mustang GT/cobra EXTREMELY powerful far easier than it is to make a maxima extremely powerful. if any of the cars i just listed had a custom-turbo... it'd be a different story.

LT-1 SS Camaros are quick, but in an auto probably a mid-to-high 13sec car, right?

I've been ROASTED alive by a LS1 SS, but I'm no comparison(we both knew what was going to happen, but it was fun anyways). However, watching any car pull that hard from 115mph to well over 140mph is friggen amazing.

Those kind of cars are great, but there is something to the sleeper that just appeals to me. That and the CHEAPER insurance.

 

did i miss something? what was the ET and trap speed?
