How long do you think it will take to do permanent damage to shocks w/o dust boots

I don't have any now. I just need them to get through the winter.

thats a big risk on those 450 shocks mr. Winter will beat them up ,
sand ,salt ,water all destructive elements .Put on the dust boots & while you are at it get those koni isolaters & let us know how they work

i never used dustboots on my tokico's or my koni's and never did i have an issue.. i also cleaned them every month or so, but just by reaching through the wheels.

i never had dustboots on my kyb agx struts and i went through the winter with them and they only got cleaned when i washed my car and i never had any problems with them......

I don't think you need to worry, on the 4th gen SE the fronts tear in a matter of 20k miles. So I've driven nearly 50k on torn boots. CV joints would be another story, but struts, fuggetiboudit.
