I don't remember when exactly I got my y-pipe but I think it was sometime in the spring of 2000. Well...it looked fine to me. It was easier than I thought breaking loose them rusted nuts. I used anti seize compound when I installed my test pipe awhile back and it made this time around much easier. The total job took me 15 mins. Everyone should buy a jar of those anti seize compound.

I could be wrong but I thought the guys w/ busted flex sections didn't have the inner accordian type flex liner? I don't see how the flex could get so bunched up w/ your type of inner flex section. I took my cat off some time ago also and mine looked like yours. My OUTER braided flex is leaking but the inside is not bunched.

I have no idea. I didn't know mine was lined to begin with. I never peeked inside when I first bought the pipe. The outer braided flex looked fine too. The pipe just all rusted looking since it's aluminized pipings. I might upgrade to warpspeed ss down the road.
