Since the harness allows u to use lights that are 80/100 watt and since thats considerably higher than the 45/65 stock, do u have trouble in inclement weather, i.e. fog, snow, light/heavy rain(from light bouncing back)? Obviously people high beam u back b/c they think u are high beaming them, and because u are using high beam wattage at as a low beam. I jus want ur opinions/experiences(cops and other drivers) cuz i have high watt bulbs and thinkin about gettin the harness but want to know the probs b4...thanks..

Whats involved in the harness upgrade? I remember seeing a drawing here somewhere. Is it bolt on? How long install etc?

the harness

i don't know that much about install..

APC makes it .. and you can buy it from carparts.com.. or there's another place that sells them too..

do a search..
IMHO.. i don't think it's worth it .. i just crimped on some connectors.. seems fine to me .. and they won't melt

well

i ran overwatt bulbs in my 92 GXE for 1 yr no prob..
i put the same bulbs in my 95 SE for 3 months and my left harness burned out.. it melted..reaally bad sparked and stuff

so i cut off the harness.. and crimped connectors onto the wires.. regular connectors that just slide onto the pins on the bulb

if you know what your doin go for it .. I'm familiar with wiring and stuff..

I'll take pics soon..

I don't think you need harness upgrade for 80 watt bulbs. I've been running them for almost 5 months no problem. I just got 100/130watt bulbs for my mom's Altima, and thinking of getting an upgrade harness for them.
