I am looking to rewire my side markers, and I have one question. I did the search thing and did not see if the side markers will stay on and blink or will they stay off until the turn signal is engaged.

Depends on if you have your lights on or off

They should be in sequence with your parking lights.

 

I thought I had to wire them to my blinkers so they would flash.

Doesn't the fogs splice into the parking lights?

again, I am confused.
