Help...max is sick.

Okay, i need some help here. On the way home from work today, the car felt really sluggish. When I accelerated, the car did not have alot of power and as soon as I lift off of accelerator, the car would jerk back. The happend for a little bit and when I exited off the freeway and stopped at the light, the car completely died. It took a couple minutes before I could start it up again. I have the check engine light on in my car and the code came back as knock sensor. But can a bad knock sensor do that to my car? I'm thinking its either the starter or alternator? Not quite sure. Can anyone help?

Well, if the car was moving while it started to die, then it is NOT the starter.

It may not be "just" the knock sensors. O2 Sensors have been KNOWN to go bad and not throw O2 sensor codes, but throw a knock sensor code (as it did in my case). How many miles do you have on the Max? If anywhere near 120k or so, I would suggest either replacing both front O2 sensors and/"or" the knock sensor. The O2 sensors (BOSCH = OEM) can be bought from Autozone, Pep Boys, www.foreignpartsplace.com , etc...and the knock sensor can be bought at any dealership.
