newbie question

Soory for being stupid, but why does my car screech when I brake? Need brake fluids? New pads?

Probably that distorted rotor that they recalled 4th gens for. I think mine still has it. New Nissan brake pads didn't fix a lot of the nois...just some of it. If anything get new rotors and brake pads and all will be fine

how much "screeching"? it might be just brake dust. you can visually check how much pad is left.

mine squeeled and it wasnt because of worn pads/roters so I ended up using anti squeel paste on the backside of the pads and also on the shims. That seems to quiet it down.
