Ok, I am very close to buying a set of '97 SE wheels.

I was "lurking" on TireRack.com today and found out that I can get a set of 15" Borbet Type E Wheels SHIPPED TO ME for under the price of the '97 SE wheels.

I know they are only 15" but, we are talking BRAND NEW wheels versus 4 year old '97 SE wheels!!

What do you guys think?? Should I get the new wheels or go for the 16s??

I have stock 15" size rims and I am keeping my stock size do what you want......though everyone's got 16"-20" on there cars but I cannot afford those BAR's(Big A$$ Rims) I like them but cannot afford them so I will stay with 15" they are not that bad I mean they came on the car in the first place you know, but some people say go big but I say to them YOU buy me the big rims and I will get them.....Also I would not get some stock rims from another Maxima or stay with the factory rim style they look good now,but get some good aftermarket rims.......

Guess that is what I'll do...

Another benefit is I already have tires!! I'll probably wait until spring to get them though!! =) Who knows, maybe by then, I can afford the 16s!!

I just bought rims to fit my existing tires when I gought the car the tires were brand new so it was no need to buy new tires too so I just bought rims to fit my tires and sold my stock rims I have now 205/65R15 and when these tires wear out I am going to a lower profile 225/60R15

Low profile tires and 15" wheels = big no no.

Wouldn't you have a huge wheel gap?

I already have lowering springs for a drop of 1.5" all around and I'm only "dropping" in profile from 65mm to 60mm so only 5mm in drop and I will not have a big gap it already sits low now with my 15" rims and it looks good,Thank You for the concern I have checked it out already and I know what look I am trying to accomplish.....

Borbet wheels is very very cheap(price wise), the 17" is under $200 I think. So good bang for the bulk if you ask me.
