Hi all:
When I got Don's valvebody installed in July, the 1st to 2nd was weaker than 2nd to 3rd and I didnt feel it all the time. I just noticed this after driving to work this morning. Now shifting from 1st - 2nd is much stronger than before, stronger than 2nd - 3rd. The gear engagement is quicker and pop tinto 2nd instantaneously. The downside is that it kicks a bit when doing this. I noticed that most of the 5th Gen VB does not give a strong shift compared with 4th Gen. And now she's too strong and it makes me affraid that it is shock shift.

so how can I distinquish between a shock shift and a recal-ed VB shift? The kick is not very strong IMO...is it good or bad? some said it is good to have a faster shift than slower one. some said it adds more stress to the tranny. Please help.

I doubt the cause is the dropping resistor because this only happens in first gear. Other things listed in the FSM are: ATF temp sensor on the solenoid, throttle position sensor, valvebody, and line pressure.

thx in advance.
