Anyone with 300zxTT and Maxima

I just got a 300zxTT and was wondering if anyone else had one, I just wanted the quick run down of what mods are good and bad, etc.

Good and bad mods

Good
1) Stillen/JWT Intake
2) B&B Catback, Greedy, HKS, Borla, most ppl prefer B&B for power and looks
3) JWT ECU, however AshZ in FL is developing Zemulator which is supposedly 10x better than JWT's chip
4) Apexi AVC-R, Blitz SBC-id, or a hks/greedy manual boost controller is good.
5) if your stock turbos are old, get replacements JWT Sport 500s or their new BB sport 530s , big bux tho
6) Aquamist and or front mount intercooler
7) Traction control by Racelogic
tons more mods but all depends on your $

Bad
1) timing resistors sold on ebay for 4 bucks..dont work..will destroy your engine
2) rice, nuff said
3) Safety Boost - many many many articles to read about this issue

Common problems and fixes
1) detonation sensor - $800 problem, can be bypassed with $2 1k OHM resistor
2) O2 sensors - will lead to car running like ****, replace every 100k miles or when you get codes 33/53
3) PCV valves get clogged with oil, replace every tune up

Thats all for now, www.twinturbo.net for tons more info, IM me if you need more info. My car is under going surgery at Primespeed now.

No he doesn't. Brian is asking for TTZ, not the NA version which is what the guy you're referring to has.

No more 99 Maxima, I felt no need for two Maxima's, rather have a 2dr, RWD, true sports car.

I've already got some parts for the TT, JWT ECU, and Exhaust.

Remember to install the boost jets, no boost jets = waste of $ on ECU

Congrats on the TT. You will love it . Looks like you have few mods already. They are very mod friendly. Try twinturbo.net.

Congrats on the new car Brian! It will definately look good in your driveway next to the Max. Do you plan on keeping the Maxima now?

I'm hoping that I can do the same thing in a few years. I'll probably try and snag a 350Z or G35 off of a lease, and if possible, still keep the Maxima. We'll see what the future holds though.

Anyways, good luck with the car. I hope you're not selling the Maxima, because I'd hate to see it go.

Later,
-Nick

Brian,

You will love it! I have a 91 TT. 400+hp

Some recomendations:
Brakes...they suck. I have SS line, race concepts rotors, axxis pads.

Ok now that you can stop next POWER!!!!
JWT ECU w/ boost jets, popcharger, exhaust, lightened flywheel....

Well a little news has changed.

After I realized how much they go for on Ebay I decided to sell this one, as it needs some cosmetic work, etc.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...873445709&rd=1

I'm going to buy one for a little more money, but one that was from a real enthusiast, one that is in the condition of my Maxima.

I'll keep my eyes open for another one, but people seem to be spending A LOT of money on 300zx tt's on Ebay, and I figure the amount I will make on this will yield me even a nicer one, or perhaps if I find some other deals (buying and selling 300's) then I will be able to afford a Supra.

Yeah at first I was like yellow, hell no, but actually it's a sweet color for that car. I get mad people asking me about it, thinking it's some exotic or something, especially with the t-tops off.

Sweet. My favorite color for a Z32 is either the really dark blue, or the dark green. I don't think they made the TT in the green tho.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a dark green TT, and I'm almost certain I've sean a teal TT.
