What is the best/economical way to ship wheels/tires????

Hey guys,
I am trying to sell my 17" wheels with mounted tires. I am wondering from any of you who have done this, what is the best way to package them as well should it be two packages, four, or just one? Also, what have you paid? Thanks!!

I shipped some 17s with tires a couple weeks ago. I compared UPS and FedEx online rate calculators (package size 22x22x11 45lbs or so for each wheel/tire) and FedEx was a lot cheaper.
I sent them ground from Atlanta to Seattle and it cost $118 and took 6 days to get there.
I just got some thick cardboard and put it over the front and back of each wheel and then used lots of tape all around to make sure that would stay. I also put a layer of bubble wrap between the face of the wheel and the cardboard. The edges of the tires were exposed but they were fine.

Two 24" x 24" x 24" boxes.
20' of bubble wrap.
Stack 2 wheels in each box with appropriate bubble wrap in and around.
Figure out general weight of boxes.
Call 1-800-PICKUPS and schedule a pickup.
Expect to pay anywhere from $60-120 depending on weight and delivery time.

ditto.
That is basically what I have done when shipping wheels. It seems the easiest.
