Clucth...

how can you (I) tell when a clutch is slipping....what are the tell tale signs?

When you are letting go of the clutch and giving the car gas and it just revs.....BTW, there are many determinants of a wearing clutch...

Put the car in 4th or 5th at 2-3000 rpm floor it. If the rpms spin w/o an increase in speed, your clutch is slipping. You just know it when it happens.

Reminds me of when my wife would ask if our muffler had a hole in it-I told her "you'll know when it does". Wel last month -got a hole in the muffler and she was with me. She said "yeah I see hwat you were talking about". Same deal with the clutch....you'll know.
