How can I become Maxima of the month?

Now that I've dropped another $4000 into my Max, am I still not qualified to be a candidate? What do I have to go through or who do I have to ask to be one? Thanks.

That really is a nice car. Makes me wish mine was black. Those are some good times on you homepage too. I didn't think automatics could pull 1/4 mile times like yours.

Hopefully I'll take some high-res pics tomorrow night. Ben is very deserving of this prize, especially if an auto has never been picked.

lol...then your memory isn't too good. There were plenty of MOTM that were autos. So what if it's an automatic, what does that have to do with anything?

in all honesty what's the big deal? you were motm on other sites, you have a sick ride.. what makes this one so special..

i became motm and everyone thinks it went to my head and that i think i am such a badass and that my car is the ****.. if i wanted to think that don't you think my wins at nopi nationals and hot import nights would be first on the list and a feature on this site??

you can look for me in an up-and-coming import tuner (spring time) and www.speedoptions.com feature as well as some other stuff coming up online and in print, but i wouldn't hold the covetted motm so near and dear.

i am sure plenty of people love your car as you see here and that you get plently of props on your work.. take that for what it is, look at the motm this month, different from any other. some love it and some hate it, is that your goal??

Well guys, I was just wondering because I like the recognition, the publicity. The money and all the self-installs needs to pay off somehow. MaximaDriver.com was a good thing for me because it opened some eyes to people who didn't thinkk my car was any better than it was like 2 years ago. Now the Maxima.org MOTM is what is the thing for all the Maxima owners, its like everyone in the world is on this board and like I said I think it would be great for publicity, not that Cheston's site wasn't a crowd pleaser, I actually started my modding off of his how2 section and joined Cali boards before I came here. All I'm saying is, after taking the big leap of installing the supercharger my self with blood, sweat, and tears (literally), I really would like more to show for. I like all the votes I'm getting even though I wasn't expecting the post to turn out like this, thanks to all. I just truly wanted to know how the nominating worked.

it used to be who got nominated for it with posts and whatnot, i remember because i did a lot of nominating.. but as of late it's pretty much keving's decision i think, or a group decision of the moderators.

let me ask you this, since you nominated yourself in a way.. what do you have that makes you better than the rest of the people on here that you should get motm? (when reading this question, take is as a question from a friend, not a criticism or anything like that.. pure curiousity, no animosity).

Well, from the 2 years since registering here, I can say that I've learned so much and applied it with my best. I can't say anything is original on my car because everything was someone else's idea, I just summed up all the ideas on the board and made my blueprint. I can't say that my experience is greater than others, I just find it very interesting with all the homework I've done, and I can now truly say that the mod bug is starting to die on me. I (pre-supercharged) remember emailing keving about who does the decision-making, and he claimed that the person who does it doesn't want anyone to know who does it. He says its not him, so I figured I'll just ask again on the board when I have more to bring to the table. So, I can't say that there's much that makes me better, I honestly think that you guys shaped my car as well as I did.

ben, your car is sick. the only problem i see is that there are a lot of superblack maximas lately that all have the stillen kit, clears, nice rims, etc (I am one of those, or trying to be), and they tend to to look kinda similar. For example, Euromaxima99, Max4Speed, yourself, and I'm sure there are other ones as well.

I know your car took a lot of hard work, and you would get my vote if needed, but I'm just trying to point out that there are a lot of similar cars lately. I dont mean any disrespect, I wish my car looked like yours

I am glad you did all the work yourself but the thing is Do you work on your car for OTHERS? I do everything to my car because I like it and I dont even care about praises from others. I dont take my car to shows nor I want it to be a show car because everything is just a hobby.

Dont sweat doood.. you already have a MOTM under your belt from maxima driver

Asking to be MOTM decreases your chances of being MOTM .. you have to be observed and rewarded.. not draw attention to yourself and hope that you will be voted

pay off? your pay off is getting the joy of driving your car. you think being MOTM is a payoff?
rule 1 in modding...do it for yourself...don't do it for others...or it's worthless to even mod. why do u find the need to show off being MOTM? you have a website...a lot of people are giving u props on your hardwork..that should be enough.
asking to be MOTM cheapens the effect of being chosen for MOTM.
just my .02.

Personally I don't think being MOTM is really all that special. Yeah, I'm happy for those who get to be MOTM, but being MOTM myself never crossed my mind. Honestly. Of course my car isn't that special to be consider MOTM. Even if I have a car like Kev, being MOTM or not wouldn't bother me one bit.
