Just wanted to clear something up, on question people been having about the 5 speed c

A lot of people was wondering is the 5 speed ECU alone will take away the check engine light and the high revving...well it does, you do not need the harness that's just a waste of money..the ECU alone does the trick

I have completed my 5 speed conversion, I have to thank Chaz a million times for this, he did an Awesome job, everything looks so clean...if anyone is thinking about doing it...stop thinking and DO IT

I cant wait to get my new times at the track.

The harness is needed for cruise control, unless you want to ghetto rig it and risk thinkgs. The auto harness has more plugs then the 5spd harness as well.

Retard.

And chaz was serious, my car does feel significantly faster then yours.

what do you build your car for...? speed, show, tooty fruity??

if you build it for speed, it will take more than a v1 blower and 5spd to be "fast".. lol, you'll still get smoked by your v8 stangs and camaros and firebirds..

I didn't pay for that, so I really don't give a f#ck. If it were coming out of my wallet I woulda just done the ECU.

I will leave you with one word to think about: BEIGE

Your an idiot dude. Just cause your car couldn't break a 16 doesn't mean you have to start hating.

If you don't consider a car that will run mid 13's to be "fast" then you are definition of fast is totally jaded to reality. The only fast V8 Mustangs are the 96+ Cobra's which my SC'ed Max would take, and for Camaro's the 93+ Z28's. I've driven a 97 Z 6spd and I know first hand my car supercharged would DESTROY it. I've also driven a '95 Cobra 5spd 5.0 and my Max is quicker and more responsive. I know the modibility of these cars is much greater then the Maxima's but were not going to get into that. I love Camaro's and Some Mustangs but your not being realistic.

Sorry but I don't consider mid-13s fast either. Head to a track. When you see all those cars running 12s you won't think you're that fast either. And a Z28 SS will give you a damn good run for your money if not beat you. Now the 5.0 Cobras can be easily killed stock, but they are so easy to get up to 500hp, at which point they will be killing your Max too. Fast for a stock car is mid to low 13s. Fast for a modified car is 12s. There's a big difference.

Mr. Cyrus,

First off, I would be running a 3.125 or 3.33.

Secondly, I'm not talking track, im talking street. There are cars that run 9's at the track. A mid 13 second car on the street would rule almost all. And as far as the Z's, I was talking LT1. An LS1 6spd would give me a damn good run for my money on a small pulley if not beat me. If the guy got a great launch he'd definatally beat me, almost no question about that. Those cars are very underrated and are rockets from all speeds.

What I'm saying is, there's lots of 12-second cars on the street you just don't expect. Like I said, for a modified car, a 13-second pass isn't fast. It's average. Crank the boost up on an Eclipse, or chip a Jetta/Passat. 13s. 12s is where the real power comes in. And yes it's hard with a Maxima, but it CAN be done and when you are in the 12s I will call you "Fast Mack." Only catch is you're gonna have to swap back to auto.

Tell that to the honduhs. A 15 flat would be fast for a supercharged modded civic.

You know very well people turbo them and run 12s EASY. You can build up the engine as easily as a hotrod in today's world. I can show you street-legal Civics than run low 11s.

The only reason why Civics are in the 11's are becuase there are sooo many of them. You know damn well with the amount of $$ you'd drop into a Civic to make it fast, you could make any domestic RWD that much faster.

I shoulda been more specific, I am talking about stock motor internals. The VQ is superior to any honduh regarding boosting on stock internals, especially the civic. A civic with boost on stock motor won't get very far or get there very fast. You build up the Maxima's engine that seriously and I bet you could pump 600HP through it easily and safely.

so gripe about how my car isnt a show car, pleeeease..

yeah and your v1 charger outta last around 2 weeks the way you drive and you won't put down low 13's, you'll run high 13's or low 14's.. i can't wait to hear you complain of chatter and belts, this should be great.

modded lt1's, ls1's, saleen's, etc will spank your car all day if they have comparible mods.. and i know tons of dsm's, teg's, vw's, etc that would beat your "fast" car on the street.. to craig mack

So why is it green like most other maxima's on the road?

I drive pretty conservatively. I don't beat on my car nearly as hard as many org members hear such as Eric D. Wong. While V2's make a little more boost, V1's are known to be more reliable, or so I'm told. They don't have the oil leaks famous with the V2's.

With a 3.125 I'll be making around 345 crank HP. When I get an ACT clutch I will EASILY be in the 13's with a good launch and you damn well know it. Put Dave B. behind the wheel and I would be in the low 13's. Even Cummy broke into the 13's and he is autotragic. Realistically I will start out with the 3.33. A 3000lb. car with 300+ crank HP/TQ and a manual tranny is no joke.

Thank you Captain obvious.

.. and i know tons of dsm's, teg's, vw's, etc that would bea
t your "fast" car on the street.. to craig mack

And I know tons of eclipses, tegs, and especially vw's that my would spank easily without an SC. The point is, 99% of people don't moderately/highly modify their cars, and only a fraction even buy cars for speed. And besides how rare are fast camaro's and mustangs, and how rare are supercharged Maxima's? I don't mean to brag necissarily but I get compliments from strangers all the time on my Max. Not to long ago at a gas station as I was holding the door for some lady, she pointed to my car and asked if it was mine and then said how great it looks.

There are A LOT more modded honDUHs, Camaro's, and Mustangs out there then probubly modded Nissans in general. 90% of hooked up maxima's just have big chrome rims or altezza's and a fart can. Highly modded clean and fast Maxima's are few and far in between.

6 coats of limited edition deep evergreen pearl with 3 coats of pearl and 4 coats of clear.. i don't know of many max's that are highly modified that aren't blue or black??

yes.. i have large chrome wheels, altezza's, and fart can exhaust like EVERYONE ON THE ORG!!! everyone has 19s.. everyone..

if i am not correct doesn't your exhaust sound like **** and sound like a riceboy??

you are the one who said you could stay with modded lt1's and ls1's and etc.. now you say you cant and its obvious they would beat you???

last time i checked you were the one droppin the clutch in first to smoke your tires and trying to learn to chirp second hard and you smelled funny smells.

your v1 will not put down 345 to the crank with a 3.125.. i'll bet you $500.00.

The org isn't real life buddy. The org brings together gearheads. Why else is half the org 5spds when in real life around 7-10% are? Correction, you have two fart cans.

if i am not correct doesn't your exhaust sound like **** and sound like a riceboy??
You mean when I was at high revvs? Becuase at low revvs it was/is deep and dirty.I put a 20" Glasspack resonator in the midpipe, and it did a GREAT job of cleaning up the rice. Still high pitched when I revv past 4000, but it's not ricey high pitched, more like racing high.

you are the one who said you could stay with modded lt1's and ls1's and etc.. now you say you cant and its obvious they would beat you???
I will give YOU $500 if you can find where I said I could stay with modded LS1's...not that I couldn't, they aren't unbeatable and the drivers aren't always good.

last time i checked you were the one droppin the clutch in first to smoke your tires and trying to learn to chirp second hard and you smelled funny smells.
I did that ONE time...had to give in to testosterone and peer pressure and try to keep up with my friends car. If your talking about dropping the clutch from a stop, I do that on rare occassions, never over 3 grand. Under those circumstances it's ok. (not the 1st gear shift @30mph, that was dumb)

your v1 will not put down 345 to the crank with a 3.125.. i'll bet you $500.00. [/B]
I bet you $500 it would be close.

who said it was.. and 1/2 the org is not 5spds, guarranteed.. yes i have fart cans.. at least my exhaust is original, and isnt ricey. ::cough::kirk::cough::

I will give YOU $500 if you can find where I said I could stay with modded LS1's...not that I couldn't, they aren't unbeatable and the drivers aren't always good.
An LS1 6spd would give me a damn good run for my money on a small pulley if not beat me.
I bet you $500 it would be close.

sounds good to me.. where do i sign.

when it comes down to it.. your car isn't fast, you want a camaro (probably v6), and you talk a lot of crap that doesnt get backed well..

It wasn't supposed to be.
You know it seems like in the past few months I've seen a lot more .Org members argue like this. Remember back in the day over a year ago, when everybody was cool and there was either positive comments or no comments? What happened to those days? I'm sick of the hating. At first it was fun, but now it blows. Can't you all just keep your opinions to yourself and end now? You're both somewhat reputable .Org members. Don't destroy a reputation over this crap.

I got my duals before you did and Kirk well before any of us. I am using Kirks muffler and pipe that runs around the tire well and that's it. I found out it would have been cheaper to let the exhaust shop create me a system themselves...live and learn.

my reputation?? everytime i make a comment (besides here where i instigated) it comes back at me that i am an assshole and that i talk shtt and i think my car is hot as fukk and i am hot as fukk and no one can touch me.. blah blah blah

i could care less what 95% of this place thinks of me or more car.. i know who my friends are on here and frankly, say what you want about my car as long as you can take a snappy comeback.

no offense to you.. you're cool.
