Poll two all season tire choices

I know nothing about the Pirellis, but after an initial incident w/ the Sumitomos, I am very happy with them. What size? I got 4 in 225/50/16 for about $350, mounted and balanced.

Sumitomos.
I had the HTR+s on my 3rd gen and they owned.
there was a post recently on how they are rated as the #2 Ultra high performance, all season tire right after some 185$ Michelins. Yet their performance ratings are very, very close in each category.. I think these are a great bargain. I was going to buy these tires to put on the rims I still will.. even if i go for 18s.. they are only 129$ then..
I heard too much mixed and negative feedback about those Pirellis, definately worth the few extra bucks for the Sumitomos.
