Sponcorship questions

I am planning on writing a perposal to my local Nissan dealership (They are HUGE) to sponcor me/my car. Does anyone have ideas on how to go about doing this? A friend of mine who works there said if I can write convincing letter that says how it will increase their profits that they would most likley sponcor me. I ahve a few ideas but i would also like to hear yours. Also in this letter do I say what I want or do i just tell them I want to be sponcored and let them tell me what theyll give me? I figured Id have a one or so page letter then a sheet with all my mods and future plans as well as pictures. Any help would be great, I plan on sending it after the new year.

Thanks

Make sure you spell it sponsorship in your letter...

Just did a little quick search on google and found this link. It's a solid start.

Tips

I've seen some acura integras that I think were sponsored by the dealer because they were hooked up and they had the dealerships name on the hood which wrapped along the sides. The lettering was huge and looked reminiscent of a nascar. Needless to say it caught my attention and I actually took my car to be serviced there cause I figured they wouldn't try to BS me about my aftermarket parts being the cause of the problem thus voiding my warranty. Consequently while I was waiting I saw many modded cars going through the service line. This was a acura/nissan dealer btw.

Anyways you'll basically wanna come up with a cool concept in which you're car will be a moving advertisement for this dealership. So I would be prepared to have the dealership name plastered on your car, and maybe have a schedule in which you visit the dealer and showcase your car by parking it in the front and leaving it there.

Hope this helps.

So in my perposal i need to say "and I want a stillen super charger" or do i say "help in future modifications of my car" ?

How do i prove that they would get more buisness? Is there any written proof or anything, or do I just try and make a case without solid proof?

Thanks!

I wouldn't tell them what you want directly, tell them you want "help in future modifications of your car". Hope it helps and good luck

Out of curiousity, what do you propose your car will do for them?

I'd say unless your car is a winning show or race car, they probably won't be interested. I doubt they'll give you money on the hope that if they do your car will be cool and maybe that will get them more business. Most companies won't sponsor cars that aren't already very visible or competatively successful.

Unless you car has a medals and trophies for winning events there is no reason for them to sponsor you unless you are willing to sleeping with the owners daugther.

Re: Sponcorship questions

Did hooked on phonics sponsor you too? I "perpose" you pay them for the next set of tapes... maybe they'll hook you up with the retail version instead of the ebonics edition!

(sorry lol)

I know of an accord that got sponsored by an acura dealership and it was because the kid won so many shows and had already invested so much money into his car.. their sponsorship to him was free labor and a contact at some local wheel shop

You are better off just saving your milk money and going nuts on the car and trying to impress people, getting shops to help out along the way also works.
