For those with Volk or Rays Engineering rims

I'm having a problem with my Volks. I have the TE-37's in 18 x 8.5.

I didn't realize the labels are merely stickers. Mine have begun to come apart.

Have you guys encountered this issue? Have you been able to deal with Rays about it?

I should call them. I've e-mailed them three times over the past 3 months and no response.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Oh .. I can't return to the vendor b/c I bought them from an .org member and he doesn't have a receipt.

Ciao!

Mackin doesnt deal w/end users usually.. so good luck there. Lots of ppl have the peeling sticker problem .. its kinda lame I have 2 wheels where its half peeled.

If u find a place to replace those stickers .. id love to know But I don't think ive ever heard of it .. the ones on the face MAYBE .. but the actual offset etc sticker .. nope.

That's unfortunate ... you would think after spending what we have on those rims ... their afterservice would be a lot better.

Go figure ... sheesh ... I'll let you know what happens .. I plan to bring it to a distributor up here in Toronto

Damn that sucks, I wasn't aware that with a company like this there would be such a problem. If you get new stickers you probably should put a clearcoat over the rims after you put the sticker on.

Damn 40 dollars for stickers...That's crazy. I better put some clearcoat on them before they go worse.

$40.00 and I'm pretty sure they're just replica decals by looking at his other auctions. I remember trying to make them for Ming a while back and he paid $40 for just 1 sticker. The real ones are silkscreened and very fragile. Getting the fake ones made isn't expensive but they don't look real up close since they're going to be made from cut vinyl.

That's pretty impractical that they're fragile. They should be as strong as their wheels are.

TE-37 18X8.5!!!!! You are so lucky.

Are any of you worried that someone will mess with your car because you have $2000 worth of wheels? I want to get Volks, but I'd be paranoid that someone would mess with my car.

About the stickers, I think the wheels look great even without the branding. Stickers are, after all, rice .

I have two different sets of locking nuts on my car. I love my rims ... I get tonnes of looks .. plus you can't beat an 18" rim that only weighs 16 lbs!

Too far away, I'm in Texas.

As for the Volks stickers, the only place I've seen them are on that eBay auction that someone listed. Maybe one of the Cali members here could check one of the 50 car accessories stores on each block to see if they can find a set for you.

One of their dealers in Toronto asked me to bring it in. They said it was the first time they had heard of this issue and they tried to insinuate that I had fake Volks with cheezy stickers. They asked me if I had weighed the wheel when I bought it? Who fuc*ing weighs their wheels? Anyhow .. I do remember they were significantly lighter than my stock 17's. I'll bring them in later this winter ... I got to get them off my car first!!!

Do you have the flat or the concave version of the TE37?

Just wondering which looks\match better on the Maxima. I always wondered why I'd see them on some cars and they'd look concave, and on others they looked flat. Weird that Volk would make two styles for the same wheel. Why not just call one style something else?

I've only noticed the concave on wheels with a width greater than 9" ... what that means? I dunno ... I'm not that smart

Hmm, that makes sense, since a wider wheel might have problems fitting on the shorter studs, so they have to make it concave so the holes will fit on the shorter studs. Maybe try a wheel spacer? I prefer the concave look because you see it on all the race cars with Volks TE-37s, but Volks are Volks, so I'd be happy with the flat style. Do you have any pics of yours?

I think you may want to clearcoat them if possible.

I finally got a response from them! On the last day of the year! I guess they finally decided to check their e-mails!!!!!!!

This is what they wrote: "Unfortuneately due to many circumstances the stickers are not covered under any warranty - you can purchase the sticker from the dealer where you first purchased the wheel

Thanks!"

Ugh! I'm going to drive until they all come off .. then we'll put on the stickers .. what a bunch of chumps!
