we will be able to transplant the '04 Maxima 5 speed auto tranny into our 3.5 '02-'03 Maximas? That would be something I am interested in!

Does anyone know if the 3.5 tranny bolts to the 3.0?

i dont know about a 2k4 max, but as far as 5th gen 3.5 tranny into a 4th gen 3.0 requires a lot of work, the 2k2 has a drive by wire throttle which would make it very difficult and very expensive to swap out and get it up and working right
