TECHS please help PowerSteering!!

I just put my UDP on and can't seem to get the powersteering belt on. I was wondering were on the car is the bolt that loosens the the powersteering pulley? When me and my friend had put the alternator belt on the ideler pulley bolt, the long bolt that brings the pulley up or down is snapped. I was wondering will i have to replace the whole ideler pulley assembly or can I just replace that bolt itself? I hope I can just replace the bolt itself. Does anyone know how much the bolt will cost?

I think a few guys on here snapped that bolt. It's around 7 bucks from Nissan.

You broke the bolt because you didnt loosen the bolt that hold the pulley its self. The bolt you broke is only to tighten the belt not to hold the whole weight of the belt. You can find one at Nissan, they are about 10 dollars. The oil pump belt, you can just skip it, but if you dont want to try it that way, you can remove the 14mm bolt from back of the pump with a couple long extensions.

Yep, there's an almost hidden ~14mm bolt that bolts the PS pump itself to the motor. You need to loosen that one before loosening the adjuster screw that you broke. That 14mm bolt allows the whole pump to rotate down to loosen the belt as you loosen the adjuster screw. I can totally see how that happened though...that 14mm bolt is friggin difficult to see and get to.

yeah ... we used a flex socket to loosen that thing...it's a bit tough to get a hold of.
