Just wondering, My last set of wheels I think I had at least one flat in each tire and I know that the rears suffered about 2 in each one within a year or so. Im wondering about everyone else here and also since I got new wheels and tires, Im a little paranoid about flats so I go out and check them for nails etc once in a while just to make shure

I have never gotten a flat...and I am thankful. I did have a nail stuck in the tire though, but being a really thick Potenza RE730, it didn't lose air at all. Just got it seal up and it was as good as new.Originally posted by Nismo

Havn't ever had a blow out, but I have had a couple of slow leeks. One of my excuses to get new larger wheels was to get low profile tires. In my previous eclipse (I usualy check the tire pressure and oil once a week in all my cars) I once had 2psi of pressure in one wheel. You couldn't tell though because the profile on the tires was so low. Even run flat tires work better the lower the profile. I don't worry about flats now with lower profile tires.

Wow! I used to work construction in Las Vegas and it would require driving my car on a dirt road near the construction site. I've had about 4 nails and one BOLT stuck in my tire. Geez, I just bought these tires from Discount Tire in Vegas. Man, I made best friends with the workers there. They repair tires for free out there. And that 1/4" bolt, they had some trouble with... but they got it repaired. Originally posted by Newman

I was in the drive thru of Carls Jr for a lunch break and I had my window down. She said drive around, so when I started driving, I heard a "psst....pssst....pssst.....pssst...." I'm like what the crap is that. lol My friend had no clue. So, I stick head out the window and see that everytime the bolt meets the pavement, it would push on it and cause a leak. Hence, the "psst". LOL...good times.
Since I left the construction company in Vegas and moved to NC, I have only had one little 8 penny nail in my tire once in the past year.

I also had a huge bolt stuck in the tire before. Another time was that I been driving around for a few months with only about 15 psi due to a slow leak from a small nail.Originally posted by Aaron92SE

I haven't had blowouts in a few years, but I did find two nails in one of my tires within a few weeks, but was able to get the Kuhmo's patched up.
I had a blow out driving my gf's 240SX. We were racing a G20 on the turnpike doing about 105mph when the car started vibrating a lot, I slowed down and at about 70 the tire blew. It was completely shredded.
