MikeyMax...Bye Bye

Couple of weeks ago, I got into an accident on I-294 with a Frito Lays truck. He rear ended me looking at a cop giving a ticket on the shoulder. The adjuster from the other insurance company claimed my Max totaled!!
Luckily, I survived with only a hyper-extended back and neck muscles.
Now, I'll be using my Zex kit to cool off my FMIC on my new baby...
This is one of the best forums...I will still check back every once in awhile, and attend the meets in the chicago area...
also, I will post parts for sale off my max soon.
p.s anyone here going to the Tokyo Auto Salon?

that sounds like a great idea....lets take advantage of the system when you already got what you wanted.

So he got a totaled car which he paid insurance for, couple bruised neck muscles and hyper extended something which I am sure he did not want, and a Frito Lay driver who wasn't paying attention and caused the accident in the first place, which could be called "negligence"

If you ask me, I would say he is entitled to more than just reimbursement for a totaled car. Besides, the driver of the truck probably won't even care because his company's insurance will pick up the tab. So how is that taking advantage of the system? They caused him pain and suffering and totaled his beloved car.

If thats the case, why do we have insurance?

Re: Re: Re: Re: MikeyMax...Bye Bye

I have already contacted my lawyer for compensation. I'm still due for atleast another 5 weeks of therapy. As far as negligence, I'm not sure how that will play a factor in this, since all accidents are pretty much caused by negligence of one way or another. I'll just have to see how much they're willing to give. Plus, I have the receipts of all of the exterior mods, which have been damaged, and hoping to get compensated for that also. My body shop said that they will most likely honor that request.

The only thing that I'm not going to be able to get off is going to be my VB mod.

Hopefully by end of this week, I'll have all the parts for sale.

5 weeks of therapy ..wow, extend it if the insurance allows, there might be a limit on the PIP, and I'm sure Frito Lay's insurance will want to examine you with their doctors, don't worry tho just keep up the therapy, add in massage treatments if allowed.

I would say you are in for 20k-50k possibly more depending on the length of your injuries.

Good luck, you won't see the $ till 1 or 2 years later anyway.
