Is it true that the JWT ECU allows one to switch between the stock programming and upgrade programming? I was told that this is one of the features of the JWT upgrade.

Not the NA application, the nitrous one does though so you don't have to run with retarded timing while not spraying.

Good question. I think that answer is because Toyota is Toyota. They don't really do sport very well. Yeah, I know about the Supra, but what is it without its Turbo?

The 1MZ-FE engine in the Camry is very powerful, but Toyota never, or hardly ever, offered the Camry with a manual tranny, unless it was a 4banger, so you couldn't really hear and feel that bad boy V6 sing.

Even with today's Camry, I still laugh at the Camry SE. It just doesn't seem right.

Both the Camry and the Lexus ES300 were offered with the 1MZ-FE V6 and a manual trans for several years. They were never very popular though.

Manual V6 camrys are very very rare. Even the more common Solara V6 manual is still pretty rare.

When i was looking for a car i drove a 96 max manual, 00 max manual and 00 solara manual the last two felt almost idenical with the 00 max feeler faster. but the 96 impressed me the most and with it being $10,000 cheaper i was sold.

I think the answer's more clear now when comparing the Toyota 1MZ-FE to the VQ30DE. The VQ shines b/c it does what it does without variabe valve timing or a variable intake manifold. And the VQs NVH was 2nd to none.
