Woohoo!! new pads and lines for me!!

Ummm, do you guys have any rotors that won't crack?!
My Stillen drilled rotors are 8 months old, and they've cracked like mad.. I'm about to switch back to my stock rotors until I can find something decent..

That should help...

Although when I had my Stillen cross-drilleds for a year and a half (they were rather wavy at that point), they never showed signs of cracking.....

A few conciderations

Cracking is usually a symptom of mis use of the brakes or the wrong temperature range pads for the type driving you do.

Both slotted and cross drilled rotors are center vein cooled, you might concider slotted this time around. The combination of the Metal Matrix pads and slotted may be best suited for you and your style of driving.

I have cross drilled rotors on my wife's 95 GLE and she is very hard on brakes. So far with over 10k on them no problem.

Regards

Well mine aren't warped at all, they've got just huge cracks..

the holes closest to the edge of the rotor have some cracks that are over 1" long, if you go across the hole.. scary stuff.
I'll grab dad's digicam this weekend and take pics.. that's if he brought it home from Colorado yet.

Matt, I feel compelled to say...

Get some other front rotors on your car...even if they're $20 ones from Autozone...I don't want to hear about you having a brake failure and ending up in a ditch....

I agree with Avalon Racing.....probably your pads or something is torqued improperly (i.e. Caliper bolts, etc....)

I've still got my stock rotors in the attic.. they're got some tiny cracks in them, but are in fairly decent shape.. I gotta play around under the car this weekend, so I'll probably put them back on for the time being.
I gotta work off some of this other debt first before I can afford new rotors, but I'll get something as soon as I can..

I find it hard to believe that these bendix pads were this hard on these rotors.. oh well.. they're about 1/2 worn anyway and my Axxis are in the mail.. I'll stick those on and see what happens.
