Well, I gone and done it again -->

Most of you probably don't know me. I was a long time member of the 3rd Gen BBS (aka A.Chan) when I had my 93 Maxima SE. I had strayed for about a year when I sold my Maxima for a 94 Pathfinder. I thought it would be cool to have an SUV, especially, when I'm loading 4 bags of golf clubs, but alas, I missed driving a stick. So, I was in search of another car or truck in a stick, and the best mix of power and fun (and within my budget)brought me back to a Maxima. But, I wanted something different. Hence, the I30. Does anyone know how hard it is to find a 5spd I30 in the NYC area? Lemme tell ya...it's hard.

Anyways, to make a long story short, I found one in NJ, and I'll be picking it up this Saturday. Woohoo! It's a 97 I30t (5spd) in that maroon color (anyobdy know the exact name?) with 75k miles. I would have preferred white, but I didn't have the option to be picky. So, this is a bit of an introduction of sorts.

I have performance and a/v questions, but I'll do searching before I post the questions.

Anyways, talk to you all later.

Andrew

Well, if I ever show up at a meet, you can take it for a spin. You do know how to drive a 5spd, right?

Do you miss your navy blue 3rd gen yet?

As usual. Last meet, huh? Just because that was my last meet, doesn't mean you should protest and skip all the later meets. Damn, Darren, I feel loved.

sure do, till this day.

lol
I'd say i polished up my 5 speed skills since i got a 97 SE 5 spd in august 2002 and already racked up a years worth miles on it.

a friend of mine has a 97 i30, although they are nearly the same cars, his car just feels more "solid" all together.. plus i didn't realize this before, but it's nice to have some options, climate control, leather, etc..

we have an i30 forum now, you'll feel right at home

Good thing you made it back from the dark side, I knew you couldn't hold on forever.

Randy, randy, randy. What's going on, brother? Did your wife have tha baby already? For the babies sake, I hope that it looks like her. How's it going? What's funny is that not 5 minutes after I posted Maximamike IM'd me. Doug, NyCeMaxima, and Stllnmax all replied to my post. It's like I never left. I feel so loved.

Your ride's looking good, dude. Even better with the H&Rs. Now, I have to build a car all over again. DanNY is already spending my money. He's got big dreams for me.

I'll stop by on the 3rd gen a little later to go bust Chris91SE's chops a bit.

Yeah man, we had our son August 31. Matthew Connor Glenn. I hope he looks like my wife too, I don't want to see my ugly mug any more than you do! Hit me up on AIM if you want pics.

Thanks for the compliments! I like how the Max is shaping up. Slowly but surely. I'll be adding an intake, brakes, sts, and SFC's in the next few weeks.

Kick Chris in the nuts for me too.

That meet!

I remember the Danbury Police real well too. Darren didn't even have a maxima then. Delio had a stock Max. Dan is still ****ed. Those were the days when you could go to a meet and talk to everyone. I sold me SE last summer. Good luck on the search. Are you a homeowner yet?

Porsche 911 (86 Coupe). Got it mostly for Porsche club Drivers Ed Events. Since August I did 3 days at Mosport and VIR, and two days at Lime Rock and Pocono. If you ever get a chance to get out on the track go for it!
