no, the phantom grips are usually around that price. Someone should try it out for the max, I know that the z31 guys have had good luck with them.

The question, will this out-perform either or both of the VLSD or Quaife differentials to make it useful?

Not for a Phantom grip. Remember, it's just 2 locking plates that install in your factory diff. The Quaife and Vitek are actual replacement differentials, hence the price difference.

That all depends on who you ask. It's got good reviews from some. But I've also heard terrible things from a lot of people. Enough to keep me away from it. It's not like if something goes wrong you can just unbolt it, your whole differential will be shot. And that's a lot of money. That's most of the reason why I prototyped one instead of just getting the PG.

Jeff, what was the differential you are selling for the 5-speed Maxima? How exactly does it compare to a Quaife, ie. Is it a true 50/50 split, warranty, price, etc? I am in a desperate need for a tranny. I want to get a LSD tranny, but, if I can find one cheap enough, and get your differential, all is good......

I sell a clutch type diff for the 5 spds. Same as the auto. I don't know how it compares to the Quaife as I've never driven the Quaife. 2 different methods of getting the same result I guess.

It's a true 50/50 split, the diff is fully locked until enough torque is put down to cause the clutches to allow slip. It's seamless. There is a lifetime warranty and racing is covered. Same as the Quaife. PM for the price, since you're local, I'll see what I can do.
