Vibration Problem...
#1
Guys-
A few weeks back I posted about my vibration problem with my Borbet Type E's. I took it to a shop and they said that my rims were junk and that they will never hold weight because they aren't made properly. I called the district manager and told them about it and he met me at the store to discuss the situation. Well the store manager then told the guy I threatened them and thats why he got all upset with me.
I never said a thing...other than I wanted my $$ back if he couldn't perform the work. Anyway..they found out the one tire has a bubble in it. I actually saw it while it was turing on the machine. The other tires balanced out fine and they used hammer-on weight on the INSIDE of the wheel and stick on weights AFTER they cleaned the rim.
So I called Tire Rack and they sent me a new tire for free and I have to send the old one back when I get it taken care of. I was very happy with that to be honest. When I told this place about it they said that they would have done the same thing if I bought tires form them. I kindly told them that they wanted nearly $100 more for the same tires!!!
Bottom line...Tire Rack rules and Mueller Tire sucks my nuts! Now I can't decide who I should let install the new tire and if I should have them recheck Muellers balancing work on the other wheels. What do you guys think?
