Will the Southwestautoworks Battery bar fit Optimas?

Just wondering if they would fit since it looks like the optima is slightly smaller than my current battery with the bar. Pics?

Exactly what I was looking for

btw- did you put wood blocks under the battery? I heard they were shorter than stock batts.

yea, the optimas are shorter than stock batteries. i went the ghetto way and used spacers to fill the gap between the battery and the tie bar.

Most places sell Optimas with spacers attached on the bottom (as they come from the factory). Make sure you ask for one when you buy the battery, they are not additional charge. Mine sits just like the OEM battery with the spacer attached on the bottom. I bought mine from Advance AutoParts.

I put the little tie down bars in a vise and sawed off about an inch and a half or so.. whatever was needed.. made sure the top was flat with a grinder or sandpaper.. and ive never had any problems..

not on boards or anything else.

Speaking of Optima baterries

I went to a speed shop and asked them about the red top. The guy said I had to know how many CA(cranking amps?) I need before he can get me one. Is there a specific model or cold cranking amps that Max owners use?
