This is a G20 Carbon Fiber Hood. The Maxima should be similar. Check http://www.fiberimages.com for more pictures.

Re: Mmmmm rice crispies

All I want is something to replace the ****ty painted OEM hood. $400 to get a new paint job on the existing hood or $425 for Carbon Fiber hood. I rather go with a carbon fiber hood =).

Does it have to have the stupid hood pins on it? Those say RICE even more than the carbon fiber hood.

(not to mention the /////ALPINE sticker, single wiper, bright red seat and 10" tach)

that'd be one thing is the seat was a black Recaro or something, but DAMN...

My question is, who thinks the hood pins are real,

and who thinks they're stick ons...
just like the fake stick on cell phone antenna's of yesteryear.......

Better question->

Why is the car red and the hood DARK maroon? That looks gross. A real dark car w/ the carbon fiber color hood would look nice. Or how about a transparent clear hood? Just like "Greased Lightning" LOL

Well, they got some fake hood pins but some are real too. If you got something good under the hood, hood pins are extra precaution. My friend got a Turbo Integra and we custom made some hood pins for his car. Alot of people i know can pop Honda hoods from outside through the bumper, even easier with all these body kits nowadays.

Extra precaution? I thought they were just pull and go. Sorta like a fire extinguisher.

my bro's friend had a carbon fiber hood that still utilized the stock hood lock thing.. but he went on the freeway, went real fast. (he had a hybrid civic witha gsr motor) hood twore off. sucked.. saw it happen on espn to another car too.. it's good to keep the hood down.. some ppl put hood spoilers..

it actually looks kind of nice!

i like the way the darker hood looks on the red g20. I mean carbon fiber hoods are not something that you paint, so as far as color goes...that's probably the closest they could get. If Any of us were to get the hood, there is not going to be an exact color match either....but it should still look cool. Another thing...with the money spent on the hood, the owner probably wants it to be noticed. it could do without that nasty alpine sticker though....

Re: it actually looks kind of nice!

hey, all this talk about carbon fiber hoods...well, has anyone really thought about the possibility of losing one's washer fluid sprayers? am thinking of getting a cf hood...but realized that all the hoods don't have holes for the washer fluids sprayers...unless I'm wrong about the design.

i really like those windshield wiper arms that have the nozzle incorporated into themm i guess u can do that instead of drilling new holes.
