2k2-3 auto tranny in a 4th gen?
Im not sure if this has been posted before, tried searching but it didn't get me anything relevant. Has anyone thought about swapping the 2k2 tranny into a 4th gen? More specifically the automatic tranny. After driving a 2k2, it feels a lot more driveable. That could be the extra torque, but it seems a lot more intelligent, ie it downshifts at the slightest touch of the gas. I would think it may be able to handle the power of a supercharger or turbo running at low psi, quite a bit better than the stock 4th gen auto as well. I know most of the responses will be "just swap in a 5spd" but my question is, is it possible to do?

6 speed auto? You didn't mean in a Maxima right? At least I hope not
It would be nice if I could get a 5 speed auto from the 2004 to function correctly in my car..

The newer cars have 5-spd autos and the newest are 6-spd autos, so I wouldn't going to great expense to do anything with a 4-spd, they've been around since the early 80's.
