i love chrooooome.. *pictures*

Just a small box of stuff that was sent out.. pretty much all that was left under the hood that hasn't been chromed/polished. Next thing to do is rechrome my manifold and valve and timing chain cover and await the arrival of my new compressor.

This are the before pictures, some of my friend's stuff in off to the side in these shots.

This is the pile afterward:

A couple closeups of the bigger pieces:

That's about it.. I'll take full engine shots later on when I get the compressor in and whatever I can get done that is coming in the mail next week.

heat shield over the ypipe, underneath the valve.

the latch was plated and not dipped.

120 grit sanding on whatever wasnt smooth.

My friend's dad owns a shop that does plating and dipping so it's a big hook up, but it's a pain because this kind of work is not a priority, took about 2-3 weeks.

I'd love to make the offer out to people but the shop is closed for maintenance and cleaning, so my manifold, valve, and strut bar came back and will have to wait.

I'll keep people informed about getting stuff chromed there.

Hmm...doesn't the Centerline have a clear coat ontop their polished finish? Good test is to rub a small amount of chrome polish on the wheel. If it doesn't turn black, they are clear coated. Don't use chrome polish on the clear coated surface. Use regular car paint polish and wax.

yup both of our rims are raw polished I think- do you think shops will clearcoat them for us? (I know I want the clearcoated dammit 1:30 hard labor polishing sucks)

There are only a handful of polishing shops that can also paint. Your best bet is getting them repolished and take them to a body shop for the clear coat. Polished wheels without clearcoat is way too high maintenance. They would tarnish by road salt, acid rain or many other chemicals.
