Engine swap for 3rd gen

My 92 SE has severe engine and tranny problems. Would anyone know of another engine/tranny combo would work?
thanks,
J.

You can put a 300zx Twin Turbo engine in it.

What about eng/tran/ecu(with harness) from a 97-99? Am trying to save the car, without dumping in more than she is worth.
What are the headaches you mention?

Cheers

If "your" pocket is "deep" enough you can swap just about any FWD V6 into your 3rd gen including the VQ. There are times in this car enthusiates world when you have to stop and think "Is it worth it" But to be honest, I don't think there has been anyone who have attempt this swap. Heck maybe if someone took the plung and cherry pick a VQ in a 3rd gen (just to see how things line up) we might have a better idea what it would take. Keep in mind what YOU said
without dumping in more than she is worth

the headache isn't worth the extra torque...

just get a VE motor/tranny and call it a day
