Qustion regarding insurance nonfault accident

Ok someone backed in to my car last night (see thead girlfriends dad) anyway i dont want to involve my insurance for obvious reasons. anyway after i get three estimates sent to him for the repairs thats all he should need right? i mean there is no need for him to have my insurance information since he is claiming responsiblity am i right here? all insight is welcome, thanks in advance.

as long as he is paying for it then there is no need to contact insurance.

Just tell the body shop you're not going through insurance, they won't care as long as they get paid.

When you say your gf's dad is going to take care of it, is he going to pay from his own pocket, or is he going to ask his insurance company to pay for it?

im not sure what his deductable is but he plans on or told me he was going to run it through his insurance.

I'm not sure whats up with you and your ins. but the thing is if he's going through his insurance, it doesn't matter that you go through yours because it's not your fault (your premium wont go up). Now if your g.fs dad doesn't want to pay for a higher premium because it was his fault then he should pay it out of his own pocket.

If you want to both claim not at fault... then I dont know get him to pay for both deductables and maybe both your ins wont go up?


there maybe other issues like it might still be an "accident" so you wont get discounts later on (I really have no clue about how that works)
