I was wondering if the blow off valve that you can put onto the Stillen supercharger is as loud as one on a turbo. Is the BOV sound real noticable or is it kinda quite. I'm asking because if I get the supercharger I would want to get a BOV for it because I like the sound, plus it adds protection to the supercharger. Does anyone have a WAV of the BOV sound from the Maxima?

on a 5spd the bov sounds good.. auto you can't hear it.. also varies on how much boost your running.. wish i had a wav of mine.. but with the v2 kit its mistaken as a turbo most of the time..

Lyt97SC's BOV sounds different from my BOV although we both have Blitz. I think he's running about 8psi and i run 8psi but ive overboosted more before and it still sounds the same. I havent seen any other Max's with a BOV other then the Blitz. Blitz is prolly the loudest BOV to get but i honestly dont like the sound of the Blitz that much. If you get the rite flange you can try other BOV's like HKS, or Greddy, and Apexi has a new BOV also. The old style was some twin camber with plates you can adjust the Blow off sound.

 

If you DO get a BOV...get the HKS Super Sequential...
best sounding in my opinion (i've tried the GReddy and TiAL as well...but like the HKS SS best)

That thing is craaaaazy loud. The blow off isn't as good as a turbo, and the whirring could get annoying, but I figure it's like an exhaust. You find other peoples too loud, and annoying until you get your very own hehe.

 

There should be sound... I tried it before posting the link.
