Modded Max w/ Insurance
Modded Max w/ Insurance
Are you supposed to let the insurance company know when you mod something in our cars? If so, will they raise the prices? If not, if an aftermarket item gets stolen, will they cover it? Couldn't insurance companies just blame a problem on something aftermarket, and then refuse to pay for something? I dont know how this all works, help me out. Thanks!

Most don't care, you are covered minus your deductable. You need to keep reciepts, have pictures, stuff like that to prove it. If it's installed on or in the car, it's covered. Stuff that is loose like cds, backpacks, not covered. I asked the same thing, so mod away!
