My 5-Speed Conversion is COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my car back from Jeff @ Maximum Tuning earlier today and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! You had to see the look on my face when I pulled out of the shop. I couldn't stop grinning. The difference in power is really amazing. I got an Act clutch and Stillen STS installed also and boy does that act really grab. I LOVE IT!! I will never drive an automatic again. My reverse lights work by the way, I got a 98 se ecu and therefore no cel light also or limiter. It definitely feels like it's a completely different car. I also had an OBX catback installed as well and that sounds great too. Jeff, thanks alot! He does excellent work! I'm a very happy customer! Guys sorry for the semi-long post but I'm just really excited about my conversion.

Enjoy the new car Chris

You're lucky you 4thgens don't have the immobilizer so the ecu swap is easy. I still got my CEL. But I pulled the bulb out so problem solved

The only thing I noticed with my car that I need to do is I gotta re-bleed the clutch.. It seems to slip just a lil so I'm getting that clutch stank smell. But it's not really affecting performance or anything.

Everything is great for the 5 speed owners until they complain about the engine revving at about 3100 RPM when cruising at 70mph.

Autos are great!

Thanks for the compliment. I love my screen. The picture quality is very good. I've been thinking of doing a little custom mounting with my PS2 also. If I do it I'll post pics.

cool.. maybe we can share some ideas..

its too bad Sony doesn't have and external DVDRom attachment for the PS2 .. atleast i don't think they do..

i was going to take mine apart.. and then custom mount the DVD Rom portion to dash.. then take the controller sections and mount them by the cup holders..

but i see alot of soildering in my future.. and $200 on a project that doesn't work.. i dunno.. then again i could get it from Electronic Boutique .. pay the $20 warranty and get another one if i mess up

i wouldn't use the PS2 i have now thought.. i would buy another one.. i am going to check sony's site for accessoires .. see if they DID come out with a DVD ROM .. i doubt it though

Who's complaining? Not me. Besides, I haven't heard of anyone doing a manual to auto swap just so's they can lower the rpm.

I've seen people complaning about doing gear swaps and such to raise the 5th gear ratio.

I like not HAVING to downshift to pass someone, you can just leave it in 5th most of the time...
