I guess Kev will see how it goes. It may or may not be the image loading, since images are pulled off another site and not the .orgy server. I've noticed that some people here have rather large sigs characterwise that exceed several thousand characters, and these people might be causing more lag on the server than the images, but we'll see. For example, if your sig is only 200 characters that's not bad. But I know of at least one person here that has a 4000+ character sig. That's a lot!

I can't think of who that was, though.

I agree. The pics load off other servers, it has nothing to do with the maxima.org server busy messages. I understand that it forces people to download pics, no matter bandwidth and that could be bad. Someone go yell at the vBulletin maintainers to make this a user specific option, or use better software. Personally, I like seeing many of the images, but I don't use dialups unless im deperate.

This is true, but the program still has to go through a query to load the pictures thus using up resources as directing the viewer to the site where the picture is hosted. In turn, this is slowing down the progression of the loading of sigs. This is the reason for not having a "server busy" message b/c the server is able to focus more of its resources toward the loading of information rather than the loading of pictures. Thank you!!!
