It's great driving a Max, and it's usually entertaining to run with someone when there's a challenge. But tonight after a nice dinner with my wife, we're cruising to a show when some dork in a (drumroll) Hyundai Sonata starts revving beside me. And I'm thinking "listen pal - I'm not really in the mood to hit 3/4 throttle and smoke your *** like you're standing still...". Please! Around Houston you see all kinds of vehicles racing - I keep waiting for someone in a Grand Voyager to try (in a "Sport" version, no doubt...)

Maybe it's an ignorance thing - after all, I once played with an AMG CLK55 because I didn't know they're WAY fast. Or maybe it's just that part of being a guy is believing that you'll win, no matter what the odds ("sure, he goes 0-60 in 6.5, and I get there in 12 - but I can DRIVE!!").

similar thing happened to me last night on the highway... going 75 and this explorer pulls up next to me, slows down, speeds up, then cut me off... baiting me I guess. So I went from 75 to 99 to 75 just to get rid of him. He did it again but this time missed me by less, so I got more ****ed, counted to 10, checked the mirror to make sure there was nobody there and hit the brakes.

I wasn't looking for a race and this jagoff decides to cut me off trying to force one. AND it's not like I was really going to race with a)an explorer, and b)I've got Q-rated snow tires (99mph max).

When are some people going to learn, it might not be a race, I might just not want you near me...
