HYBRID QUESTION
#2
Hybrid cars run on hamster power... as opposed to horse power..... :-)
Basically, it's an electrical engine, and a combustion engine rolled into one unholy union.. (Big mistake IMHO.. screw mother earth :-)... gets great mileage, but nowhere near the power of a 100% combustion engine of similar size/weight, and from what i understand, would be a maintenance cost nightmare once something breaks..!!!

As said before they are a combination of the 2 types of engines. . . When the car comes to a stop, the combustion engine shuts down and the electric engine takes over and gets the car moving again, then (from what I understand) when the car is at speed the combustion engine takes over again leaving the batteries to recharge on the electric engine. . . I think I would prefer a Sentra California edition which puts out less emissions driving around town than a normal car sitting in the driveway all day, at least it runs on combustion only, and you don't have to rely on the batteries working all the time.

i think he's asking about a different type of Hybrid...
I think the type of hybrid he's asking about is like a CRX with B16A motor. Many people are starting to use the B20 block(CR-V) to build up cause it has more torque.
