Redline Water Wetter?
My 60,000 mile service is going to come up in about 4,000 miles. I'm changing the oil, spark plugs, manual gear oil, and coolant. Anyway, I'm considering using Redline water wetter in the coolant and redline gear oil. Any experiences with redline products?
I use redline water wetter and MTL,
Redline MTL works great! In fact I was shocked how much of a difference it made,it makes the gears just slip into gear with far less effort then before.I also use redline water wetter which is supposed to cool down the system by 8 degrees.I did not notice any difference but enjoyed the fact my cooling system was working more efficiently.
From what I hear
The water wetter ideal for track us, and it's suppose to be used with straight water. But if used in personal cars use a 70/30 for water and antifreeze plus the water wetter. The water wetter has those anti-corrosive stuff also. I have a bottle of the wetter but I'm waiting until I move back to the S. Fla area before I decide to use it, later

Use Redline MT-90, which is a 75W90 gear oil. According to them it is made for transmissions with sychronizers. Shifts very smooth during the winter time (when the gearbox is cold)....you don't really wrestle with the shifter when it's cold. Expect to pay around $8 a quart of $33 a gallon. Go to Al Smith's Automotive Products in Parkville, off of Joppa Rd in between Harford Rd and Perring Pkwy.

i changed my transmission fluid to mt-90, but i am not usre whether the shifter is smoother. actually, i find it harder to downshift, like from 5th to 2nd, after slowing down for the turn. i step on the clutch and try to move the lever from 5th to 2nd, but it wont go into 2nd. it helps if i left go of the clutch (while in neutral), then try to to in to 2nd.
is that something wrong with my transmission? i thought it was because i have a new car, but now i am at 21,000miles and it still does that...
