Actual uncorrected numbers are 439hp/389tq w/juice, 390hp/329tq boost only.
I will post a spread of the important dyno's when I get a chance, but here it the pertant info. I gained 35 peak hp with just the 3" exhaust. Using the G force NA ECU to ramp up the timing in the low and mid rpms gained ~15hp/15tq. I did use alch/water injection from 9psi up on every run from 7 up including nitrous. I still had to pull ~1.75deg ot timing per lb pf boost from 8.5psi up to keep the J&S from lighting up. I used a 35hp jet at 1050psi bottle pressure in the nitrous set up from 3500rpms to 6400rpms with the J&S pulling 2 degrees of timing when the nitrous is activated. Only went above 800c in my last two pulls which were 4th gear pulls, all others were 3rd and EGTs were 740-760c. I really need an actual intercooler, I would see another 20-30whp peak for sure. I could not have done this with out the J&S Ultra Safeguard. The motor could maybe take more but I ran out of guts.

Its is the original motor my 98' came with, it has 51k on it now. Red line oil is great stuff, hahahaha.
I will be at MIR on Saturday, looking for mid 12's. I need to work on my race set up a bit, gotta do a JIME'er on my rear struts

The weather has just killed me this winter. I just finished the injectors today and I still have to replace my motor/tranny mounts. Plenty of opportunities to get down there this spring/summer i'm sure

Congrats Matt! all of your time, hard work, and knowledge have really payed off. your car is a monster. when it was on the dyno it had a certain "aura" around it. i am glad i got to witness it all.
again congrats.

Matt you have proven over and over what some reading and research will do.
I hope to learn something from your posts. Most of them I am still trying to understand
But keep sharing your knowledge and bad times. I know it sucks.. but you and a few others share MUCH info about your ride.
And that is what this place is truly all about.
So thanks for being a "tinkering" kind of guy

Let me preface this. I have much respect for our turbo innovators. I'm having fun and I know they are too.
Pound for pound, boost is boost. SC's do drain more power than a turbo, so pound for pound turbo's do make more power, but not by the levels that Nigels dyno graph comparisson leads you to believe. I do not fault him for his graph comparisson using the "10psi SC MEVI" as an example compared to his turbo set up, it whas the best SC graph available at the time. However it is not at all a fair comparisson. Consider that the "10psi SC MEVI" dyno was done through a 2.25" muffler and with out an intercooler, where as the turbo dynos have the aid of a 3" exhaust and inter cooler, and the SC has MEVI, they are not apples to apples. I gained 35whp from a 3" exhaust in my recent dynos and with an inter cooler I "should" gain 20-30whp. Once I intercool, and only then will it be a remotely fair comparisson. However, it will never be a completely fair comparisson unless we both get on the same dyno right after each other. Bottom line, is the truth, that if I were new at this and I had $4k to drop on boost, I would buy Nigels turbo kit not a $tealin SC kit. I would rather touch a button for more boost than have to swap a pulley.
Nigels numbers were somthing like ~360 "actual" whp and corrected up to ~430 whp using the SAE formula for NA motors. His motor never actually took the stress of 400whp. I am just sorta pained by the SC bashing that the turbo hype has created. I got what I got, and I believe it works great. So I guess my statement is an attempt at a protest to the turbo crew on behalf of the SC crew. I am just pointing out that my mostly SC'd (juice helps too

Maybe I should just make some nifty videos with down music using a SC/NOS car and the tide will turn back again.

We are all insane! Its a maxima for Christ sake, not a Vette, etc. God help us all this track season, parts will be breaking in Max's all across the land!
