question about midpipe??

question about midpipe??

I have a midpipe the has a hole just below where the 2 hose lines go in..I seen other midpipes, but they dont have the hole..Should this hole be there,also should i leave it open or cover it with something?

its so you can plug in the air sensor that is located under the stock air scoop.
