question about foglights 55 watts or 100 watts

On ebay I saw some foglights made by Mtec, they sell the ones that draw 55 watts and output is 100 watts ,they also sell the ones that draw 100 watts and output is 150 watts..They say they are as good as Piaa lights..they go for $25 ...Which ones should I get?the 55 watt or the 100 watt?

get the 55 watt and there is no such thing as 55 watt = 100watt

55 watts is 55 watts and 100 watts is 1000 watts

As you probably already know, the bulbs you mentioned draw 55 or 100 watts - period. Their light output is supposed to be "equivalent" to 100 or 150 watts.

I've heard of some folks burning out their wiring by going to 85 or 100 watt bulbs, so...

I think I put an 80 watt bulb in my foglights once. A week later, one of the glass lenses was cracked from the heat. So I wouldn't go over stock wattage there. Look into PIAA Extreme White H3's, theyre supposed to have a pretty nice color and light output, and theyre 55 watts.

i put the 100 watt bulbs in and they lasted for about 2 weeks then blew. So get the 55 watt ones.
But they sure did look damn good while they lasted , they were hella brite.
